Sorry for no update on last night...I left the hospital and headed straight for the Christmas party and didn't get home until late. Aubrey did well yesterday afternoon--had one episode about lunchtime, then we got to kangaroo and Adam got to hold her. I just talked to the nurse this morning and she said she had a good night but had an episode right as shift started this morning. One or 2 episodes per shift is so much better than 6 or 7 per shift like she's had in the past. They've told us that preemies can keep having episodes until after they go home (scary), but she has to go a certain amount of time without one in order to go home (still weeks away). She did finally go up in weight again and came in at 2lb 12oz. :)
With her cotton boxing gloves on. She also had a "body pillow" to sleep on today. :) |

I think Aubrey had a total of two episodes today...one I think was because her head was in a weird position--she was sort of sliding down in her little bedroll. She did well the whole time she was tucked into my shirt so we could snuggle--which ended up being about an hour...we both fell asleep in the rocking chair. Yay for the nurse being busy and forgetting about us! ;) The nurse today wrapped her little hands in cotton so she couldn't get them under the tape holding her tube in and flick the tube out (like she did 2 nights ago). Getting the tube back in isn't the problem; every time it's put in, they have to get an xray to see if it's in the correct place. I appreciate her wanting to limit Aubrey's xray exposure if possible...she's already had so many for someone so young.
