7a.m.

Adam and I coordinated this morning, so only HE called the NICU to check on Aubrey. :)  She did well last night with only one episode.  She spit up a couple of times, but not projectile like she did on Adam the other day. ;)  She's still at 2lb 10oz but she did gain some grams.  Oh, and she graduated to a bigger CPAP hat night before last .  Poor kid must have a melon head like her mama.

It's already December 6 and I'm having tons of trouble caring that Christmas is almost here.  It stinks because usually I'm Little Miss Christmas--I get decorations out the day after Thanksgiving, I'm always raring to go pick out a tree and deck out the house.  Well, so far this year I've painted my toenails red with green sparkles.  Does that count?  Adam's working Christmas Eve and Christmas night, so that was sort of bumming me out before any of this happened with Aubrey; now I'll be spending Christmas at the hospital, and that super stinks.  I'm Grinchy this year and I don't like it, but I can't seem to shake it.  Bah.

7p.m.

I'm kinda like the nurses now...I don't want to get too excited, but as of when we left the hospital at 6:30 tonight, Aubrey hadn't had an episode since 3a.m.  She de-satted a few times but she always brought it back up herself and even stayed at the high end of where she is supposed to be.  We got to kangaroo for a long time; she slept really well for a while, then she got the hiccups.  I mean REALLY got the hiccups.  One of the nurses was across the room and could hear her--she said she sounded like a frog had gotten into the room.

The doctor came and talked to me about her cranial ultrasound from Tuesday.  He said that where there was evidence in the last ultrasound that 2 ventricles in her brain had been swollen at some point, now everything looked normal.  Normal is good.  He's also happy with how she's done this week and said she's at the point he hoped she would be.
