I love it when there is nothing much to report. She had a good night--no episodes, had a bath, gained an ounce (up to 5lb 4oz). We like those kinds of nights.
Happy 81st birthday to my spunky Nana. I love you!

As of about 6ish when we left the NICU, Aubrey hadn't had any episodes. She would de-sat every now and then but always brought it back up. I noticed that she holds her breath when she's trying to fill up her diaper...her face turns red (it can turn beet red in a second and then back pink in a second) and I usually hear some rumbly in her tumbly and then her oxygen will drop a little. So, I got to change 2 messy green diapers today. That's ok, because soon I'll be changing them all without the nurses taking any of them. ;)

We talked to the doctor for a while this afternoon. He wants to let her hang out a few more days, and if she's still doing well episode-wise they'll try putting milk into her tummy at the end of the week. We asked him about her lack of crying--she doesn't cry about anything. Not when we change her diaper, not when they put IVs in, not when she got her vaccinations. She does make noises, and we can tell when she's upset, but she doesn't cry. The doctor that checked her throat out last week said her vocal cords looked ok and she didn't have a hemangioma blocking anything. The doctor said that honestly he didn't know right now why she doesn't cry. Could be anything from just having a laid back personality to having developmental delays. It's just too early to tell. He said the phenobarb isn't in a high enough concentration to make her lazy enough not to cry. He said the eye doctor wants to come back and check her at the end of the week because when he checked her last Friday it looked like the retinopathy was regressing. That's a good thing. She seems to be gagging less, and when she does she can keep it down better and her oxygen doesn't drop like a rock. Just keep praying she can control this reflux!
