Adam called to check on Aubrey right before he got home from work this morning. After her epic episode last evening when I was there, she did fine the rest of the night. Barely even dropped her sats. I just don't get it. I guess it's the prematurity thing and she's just not quite there yet considering she'd still be 4 weeks early were she born right now. She weighs 5lb 1oz.

Mom and I spent the early morning visiting time with Aubrey today. She did fine the whole time, and we snuggled and she took a nap. When she woke up, mom read her a book. Though I thought mom did a fine job, Aubrey didn't seem terribly impressed with it. ;) I changed her diaper and rewrapped her mummy style, though I'm nowhere near as good at it as the nurses are. She's so dang cute.
she had a bath last night, as evidenced by the hair. :) |
she always gives a good stretch after being unwrapped. |

Sorry for the late update. My nana turns 81 on Monday, and we had a birthday get together for her tonight. I like to think I have a little of her spunk and sass...looks like Aubrey has a smidge of it too. :)
After her epic episodes on Thursday and Friday evenings, I waited with baited breath for 5p.m. to roll around today. I got there about 3:30 and we snuggled and I changed her clothes and her diaper and so forth, and the nurse put her on her tummy, where she had been when I got there. When I came back out from pumping at about 4:50, sort of halfway expecting her monitors to be going off, I was pleasantly surprised to find her snoozing away with her oxygen set to room air and her saturation in the 90s. Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit. She broke her streak. Thank you Jesus! I called to check on her about 10, and she had been good the rest of the evening. Keep it up, kiddo!!!!
